Wyona Deen Haddock

Wyona Deen Haddock, 86, a longtime resident of Fernandina Beach, passed away January 14, in Melbourne, Florida.
Wyona was born August 17, 1938, in Oscilla, GA, to the late Troy Deen and Dora Kelley Deen. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Fernandina. Wyona married Henry Ralph Haddock on August 16, 1957, at First Baptist Church in Fernandina Beach. The couple then moved to St. Petersburg, FL, where they lived until retiring back to Fernandina.
Wyona was a graduate of Fernandina Beach High School and the University of South Florida. She enjoyed a long career as an elementary and special education teacher. A talented painter, she was active in art classes throughout her retirement.
She is predeceased by her parents and her husband.
She is survived by her son, Henry Deen Haddock, and his wife, Janet Montgomery Haddock, of Pittsboro, NC, and daughter, Kimberly Haddock Lehrich, and her husband, Marc Lehrich, of Cocoa, FL. She also leaves four grandchildren: Lindsey Haddock Seehaver (and husband Alex), Megan Haddock, Caitlin Poor Finneman (and husband Matthew), and Savannah Poor Schadt (and husband Samuel), and one great-grandchild, Anna Finneman. She is also survived by her sister Vyretha Deen Mclean and brother-in-law Fred McLean of Tallahassee, Florida.
A memorial service will be held at Oxley-Heard Chapel Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 10:00 am.
