Mr. William Clyde Guerrin, age 86 of Fernandina Beach passed away on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at the Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach.

Born in Winthorp, MA he was the youngest of four children born to the late Richard and Margaret Guerrin. Mr. Guerrin was a graduate of Holyoke High School in Holyoke, MA. He had served in the U.S. Navy and worked as a Commercial Fisherman before becoming a Merchant Seaman in the mid 1970s. He and his family came to North Florida in 1971 from Massachusetts. Mr. Guerrin worked with GATCO in Jacksonville before joining Crowley Marine from where he retired in 1996. While working as a Merchant Seaman, Mr. Guerrin attended the Seafarers School of Seamanship in Piney Point, MD. He was a member of the Seafarers International Union, Brotherhood of the Sea.

He leaves behind his wife of 46 years, Carolyn J. Guerrin, Fernandina Beach, FL, a son, Jay Guerrin and his wife, Tracy, Yulee, FL and three grandchildren, Peyton, Cova and Brady.

A service of blessing and committal will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church of Fernandina Beach with the Reverend Dr. Wain Wesberry, officiating.
