James H Faison

Your North Carolina families are deeply saddened by the news of Will's passing. He brought so much joy and warmth to those around him. Our hearts go out to you and to your extended family and friends during this difficult time. Distance has its limitations but not on our love and compassion for you. I remember meeting Will several times, one in particular when he was just a young lad, where he was able to verbally list all the presidents in order of their service up to that current time. (Later I tried but gave up). He will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered."

William "Will" Andrew Faison

2025-03-14

We are heartbroken to announce the passing of William "Will" Faison beloved son, brother, friend and neighbor on Friday, March 14, 2025, at Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville. Will was born on February 29, 1984 (leap year!), in Winter Park, Florida, to John and Karen Faison, and grew up in Altamonte Springs, Florida. He graduated from Avalon School in 2002.

Will had a passion for music, playing various instruments including the guitar, ukulele, dulcimer, and steel guitar. He also enjoyed volunteering with animals, taking clowning classes, and working as a “scarer” at a haunted house for several years. During the holidays, he enjoyed the role as Santa. Will was known for his love of video games and had an extensive knowledge of movies, making him the most sought-out teammate on family game nights.

For the past few years, Will attended a day program at Starting Point in Fernandina Beach, where he made numerous friends who will miss his infectious humor and kindhearted nature.

Will enjoyed walking his dog, Daisy and seeing the friendly faces of neighbors during their walks.

Will leaves behind his loving parents, Karen and John Faison; siblings Jenifer, Christy, and John Faison (Becky); and his best friend, Daisy the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel, who was always by his side. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles, and several cousins.

Visitation begins at 10:00 AM, followed by services at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, March 19th at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home. The burial will take place at Bosque Bello Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to Nassau Humane Society and Starting Point Behavioral Healthcare Fernandina Beach in support of the drop-off center. These causes are dear to his heart.
