Robert "Bobby" Wayne Gore

Robert (Bobby) Wayne Gore, 63, of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away peacefully with his family on January 14th, 2025 at Baptist Medical Center South.

Born on September 30th, 1961 in Jacksonville, Florida to C. Wayne Gore and Geraldine Gore (Avery). He was raised in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

Through organ and tissue donation, Bobby left a lasting legacy of kindness.

Bobby often enjoyed cooking, joy riding to “check on his island”, gardening, telling stories of past times, making others laugh and spending time with loved ones.

He is predeceased by his mother, Geraldine Gore (Avery), and his younger brother, John Matthew Gore.

Bobby leaves behind his spouse of 18 years, Jerri Gore (Fernandina); children, Cortney Lemay (Fernandina), Amanda Lemay (Hilliard), Jamie Strickland (Fernandina) and Robert J. Gore (Fernandina); grandchildren, Landyn Killough, Ophelia Suggs, Charles Horne, Kade Horne and Raidyn Lemay; father, C. Wayne Gore; sister, Christy Little; brother, Steven W. Gore and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, January 23rd at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until the hour of service.

The family will have a pot luck style gathering following the service, at their home at 807 N. 15th Street in Fernandina Beach, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the GoFundMe established to provide support for Bobby’s immediate family as they try to process their grief.
