Fichera Family

We all remember Aunt Norma for all her teaching and examples she transmitted to us. The memory of Aunt Norma will live in our thoughts.

Norma E. Ceraolo

2023-10-14

The family of Norma E. Ceraolo, 95, is saddened to announce her passing. She was the wife of Dr. Giuseppe Ceraolo, and the last of the five daughters of Peter and Angelina Cantino, all of whom predeceased her.

She and her husband Giuseppe were long-time residents of New Jersey, where she was a well-liked and respected teacher in the local schools for over 30 years.Upon retirement, Norma and Giuseppe traveled extensively - visiting many places and spending time at homes in Spain, Italy as well as in New Jersey. After Giuseppe’s death, Norma moved to Florida, and for the last 9 years lived on Amelia Island in the Osprey Village assisted-living complex. Norma was an active member of numerous groups and involved in many Village activities. She so enjoyed teaching conversational Italian to a fun group of Osprey Village and Amelia Island residents.

We all will remember her for her positive attitude, her courage, and her tenacity to keep learning and be active. Norma will be missed by many including her extended family which includes three nephews and a niece. She is also survived by six grand nieces and nephews and six great-grand nieces and nephews in the US, as well as the members of her husband’s family in Italy.
