I knew Dr Lyons retired because the sign on Western Avenue changed. He looked forward to retirement and Im sorry that it was too short. Wishing his family my condolences at this time. Too young, just too young.
LESLIE COOK WESTPHAL October 4, 2019
This is incredibly sad. I will remember Dr Lyons and be grateful for his care for however many years I am here. I will be thinking of how honest he was in addition to the rest of his great care.

My deepest sympathy to Dr. Lyons family. Dr. Lyons was our dentist, Rodger Joly, my brother and myself
for many, many years. He was always so kind to my brother Rodger and i am so thankful we were

I was a patient of Mike Lyons and his friend too. He always spoke well about his wife and family. I first met him when he was part of Strongin and Lyons; we were both about 33 years old. I always loved Mike for his personality, wit and intelligence. He was far too young for this but I am sure he is with God.

Marie, Robert and Max. I was shocked and deeply saddened to read of Mikes passing! I always respected Mike as a colleague and felt very confident referring my patients and friends, knowing they would get kind, competent care. I admired Mike as a father. When the boys were little and playing baseball, he was always quick to ask how my son was playing and equally quick to tell me how you boys were doing. And when you switched to golf, he very proudly had to tell me that you were out driving and scoring better than him. We work hard at what we do; I only hope Mike got a little time to enjoy himself!
BOB BRAND October 6, 2019
What a shock to learn of Mikes death. I knew Mike as a friend and colleague and his early passing is so, so sad. I fondly remember enjoying skiing with Mike and some other dentists. And eating too ! He was a gourmet chef. I had my first soft shell crab at Mike and Maries home. I think of him every time I make crabs following his method exactly. But mostly I enjoyed just talking with Mike. He will be greatly missed.

My sympathies to the Family of Dr. Lyons. I was a patient of Dr. Lyons for 30+ Years. Dr. Lyons was ever the professional, exceptional person, a true gentleman.
He so wanted to retire to Florida, we spoke about Florida and the smile on his face was catching.
Dr. Lyons treated everyone with the utmost respect, my Mother in her 80s trusted and respected Dr. Lyons as one of our Family.
My the Lyons Family heal with time, good memories knowing how the world viewed a true honest gentleman

Belated condolences to the Lyons family. Mike was a wonderful gentleman and competitor. We were members of a twice victorious Albany Country Club team to advance to the now defunct Oldsmobile Scramble regional finals. Will never forget him holing a 30 foot putt on 18 to allow us to advance.
More recently I ran in to Mike at Gore Mt. and nearly killed myself chasing him down the black diamond trails at Gore.
Farewell to a Gentleman.
