We are sad to announce the passing of Martin James Leibold, “Party Marty,” 64, of Fernandina Beach, Florida.

He passed away on Saturday, November 9th, 2024, surrounded by loved ones at Community Hospice on Amelia Island. He was born December 30th, 1959, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Raymond Lawrence and Mary Elizabeth Leibold.

Marty was an accomplished carpenter whose skilled hands brought beauty into homes and local businesses. “Party Marty” was a local legend with a kind nature and gave to others even when he didn’t have it. He loved fishing, boating, riding his bike to Egan’s Creek, and being around animals. Every dog in town knew him. Marty made an impression on everyone he met.

There will be a celebration of life at the Green Turtle Tavern on Monday, December 2nd, at 6:00pm
