Kelly was a lifelong resident of Nassau County. He was graduated from Hilliard High School and he serviced in the U. S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning from the Navy he entered Jacksonville University and while a student there he ran for and was elected Town Clerk for the town of Hilliard. He wanted to send a special thank you to his breakfast friends at McDonalds.
In keeping with Kelly’s request, there will be immediate services and he will be laid to rest with his wife at Bosque Bello Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
