James Edwin Sage Jr. passed away on August 12, 2023. after a short illness
He was born September 12, 1941 to James and Eloise Sage. He grew up in Hampton Virginia then joined the Army. Rising to the rank of First Sargent. He served two tours in Viet Nam earing him three bronze stars.
After retiring from the Army Jim had a second career with the Defense Communications agency and lived in Washington DC area. Jim and his wife Carolyn decided to retire again and moved to Williamsburg Virginia. They were avid golfers and Jim even made custom golf clubs.
Jim is predeceased by his parents James and Eloise, his sister Roslyn Sage Gray, his step son Michael and his beloved wife Carolyn.
He leaves behind his daughter Lori Sage Faas , St. Augustine, FL, his son Allen Sage, Fernandina Beach, FL
His step daughter Robin Ramos, Centerville VA, a brother Russel Sage (Ann) Carrolton VA, nephews Lee Sage (Amy) Charleston SC, Brigadier General Christopher Sage (Jessica) Belgium, Nathan Sage (Angelic) New Port News VA. Grandchildren Josh and Brandon Waterstraat , Abbie and Olivia Sage, Fallen Ramos. And several great grandchildren. And his dear friend Jean McCue
The family wishes to thank the staff at Baptist Medical center and Community Hospice Warner Center for Caring (Fernandina Beach) for the superior care of Jim in his last days.
