Ella Mae Greek Harper, 93 of Fernandina Beach, Florida passed away on Tuesday, January 16th at the Jane and Bill Warner Center for Caring in Fernandina Beach.
She was born on April 24,1930 in McAlpin, Florida to the late Marion Winfield Greek and Sadie Goff Greek. Ella was known for her wit, her great cooking skills and for the love that she had for her family.
She was an active member of First Baptist Church of Fernandina Beach until she became homebound in 2015. She enjoyed attending and dearly loved the members of the BYKOTA Sunday School class at FBC. Ella was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and her very favorite name was Maw Maw.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her siblings M.W. (Johnnie) Greek, Jr., Marion Greek Webb, Rosa Elizabeth (Bett) King, James Russell Greek, Leonard Sherrill Greek, Mary Irene Stamper, and son-in-law Chris Jackson.
She leaves behind her daughters Jody Harper Jackson, Folkston, Georgia; Jana Harper Williams (Bruce), Fernandina Beach, Florida; six grandchildren Pat Jackson (Jessica), Callahan, Florida; Andy Jackson (Cathy), Callahan, Florida; Matthew Jackson (Melissa), Folkston, Georgia; Jenny Jackson, Folkston, Georgia; Beth Ann Williams Cooper (Will), Marietta, Georgia and Emily Williams Baker (Andrew), Yulee, Florida, and her brother Gregory Roger Greek (Roxanne), McAlpin, Florida; Great Grandchildren Hannah Jackson, Noah Jackson, Ava Jackson, Wyatt Jackson, Eden Jackson, Christopher Jackson, Collier Cooper, Camp Cooper, Hudson Baker and Graham Baker and numerous nieces and nephews.
A private service will be held at a later date.
Donations may be made to Community Hospice of Northeast Florida.
