Kim Jones

Debra was fun, pretty with bright eyes, we had good laughs together. I didn't know her very long but I'm glad I met her. She is at peace now and that's wonderful. Prayers for your family.

Trevor, remember when your mom & I kept children at the house? You were a little pistol doing your karate! Your mom was the sweetest person! Loved to talk to her about her family & the memories! May she rest in peace! You are in my prayers!

Debra Ann Readdick

2024-11-02

Debra Ann (Strickland) Readdick, 63, entered her heavenly home on November 2, 2024.

Debra was born on November 7, 1960 in Canandaigua, NY to Grace Elizabeth (Thrift) Strickland and James Cecil Strickland. At the age of ten, Debra and her family moved to Fernandina Beach where she resided and graduated from Florida Junior College in 1976.

Debra never met a stranger and talked about Jesus to everyone she would meet. She was strong in her Christian faith and led by example to her family and loved ones.
Just like her father and grandmother, Debra spent a lot of time in her garden. She loved to grow fresh food from seeds and also loved collecting the eggs from her chickens.

Debra tried to eat healthy and live as naturally as possible. She was also very close with her twin sister, Donna. They talked every day about anything and everything and Donna was Debra’s best friend.

Debra leaves behind her only child, Trevor (Nicole) Readdick; a grandson, Frazier Readdick; a sister, Donna Jean (Mark) Schons; her longtime love, Danny Liddell; a sister in Christ, Marcella Bell, and many other close cousins and family.

A visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024 from 1-2:30pm at Oxley-Heard Funeral Home in Fernandina Beach. A graveside service will follow 3pm at Bosque Bello Cemetery. All friends and family are invited to attend.
