Daddy, God certainly knew I needed a man and woman of integrity, genuineness, grace and love when he assigned you and Momma to be my parents. A day will never pass that I won’t remember the childhood and adulthood that y’all prepared me for.It is/was an honor I’ll hold onto until my last breath. I will always remember the revolving door at the home you built for all of your children and the many friends of our childhood that y’all welcomed into our childhood home. We were poor growing up but we were rich because of who yall are/were.In your final days upon earth you were still mentoring and preparing me of days ahead. I knew your wishes and honored them. It’s not the same without you here but I’m beyond humbled that memories never fade. I told you, fighting back the tears rolling down my cheeks, that you were my #1 and always will be. You were my first love from a man, who I could always rely on for advise, you were my best friend. I could go on but I’ll keep it short to say you are/were my everything.I find solitude in knowing you are rejoicing, at peace and reunited with the ones that left before you and loved the most.
Jerri Gore
