Carrie Anna Rosener
2025-01-21
Carrie Anna Rosener at age 92 was called home by our Lord peacefully on January 21, 2025.
Born on September 3, 1932, in Martinsburg West Virginia she was the only child of Theodore Belmont and Hazel Brannon Kidwell. Immediately following high school graduation Carrie Anna (known as “KI” by then) left for Nursing School in the big city of Baltimore at Union Memorial Hospital School of Nursing. With nursing degree in hand, she, with several of her nursing student friends, left for New York City to start her career at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital. It wasn’t long before she met her future husband on a blind double date. After several stops along the way she ended up in Battle Creek Michigan and enjoyed a long nursing career ultimately retiring from the VA Hospital.
In addition to her career, she dedicated countless hours to her Church as a Deacon and Elder in the Disciple of Christ Church in Battle Creek, the Stephen Ministry in the Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church and most recently in women’s circle at Memorial United Methodist Church, Fernandina Beach. Always on the go, when she could enjoy some quiet time she kept her hands busy with crocheting, knitting and cross stitching. She took great pleasure from sharing those skills with her granddaughter, Pamela.
A loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother she was predeceased by her husband of 68 years, Ronald. Survived by her two sons, Ronald Charles Rosener Jr., Mark William Rosener and his wife Laura. She was blessed with 3 grandchildren, Mark William Rosener II (Billy) and his wife Allie, Pamela Jean Fiddler and husband Matthew and Catherine Lee Miller and husband Chris along with 8 great grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at Memorial United Methodist Church on Saturday March 1, 2025 at 2:30pm. The family asks that memorial contributions be made in her name to Memorial United Methodist Church, Fernandina Beach.
